Freaking Achilles. That man and his use of alliteration cracks me up. :-)

Role models? No. But I do consider us to be people that everyone should try to be like. They should try.

Saturday afternoon we had Achilles over for lunch. Fast forward 12 hours and we had somehow found ourselves at a random bar in Sinchon wasted out of our gourds. Especially yours truly, who didn't even think of getting out of bed until 5 p.m. on Sunday. Ant was totally sympathetic to my plight, as he spent most of the day laughing at me and referring to me as "The Barfer."

To sum it up, I'll give you a quote from a text I received from Achilles last night, "As my brain heals I'm realizing what a fuckin' blast I had!!"
Seriously. It was a total blast. And how 'bout the last picture, where Ant tried (unsuccessfully) to climb the walls of the subway? Hahaha.

Last weekend I finally tracked down my buddy Achilles! Achilles, Voice, GS...for some reason it has taken forever to meet up with some of the people I couldn't wait to see when I got back!
Anyway, we met up with him for some coffee and lots of talking about books and the current state of everything, and then I took him and Ant to Jamsil to check out Olympic Park. It's one of my favorite places in Seoul. It's quite a hike from where Ant and I live, but Southside hashes in that area pretty often so it's a hike I'll be making on a fairly regular basis! It's such a great park to run in! We also checked out the Olympic Museum, which is in the park. A few pics:
