Thanks for the ideas-- I confess I haven't read a number of these. Hmmm... you've inspired me to begin jotting down a list of my own...

Ugh. Another Jane Austen fan.

Just when I was beginning to be able to tolerate you, sister.

KIDDING!! I wasn't really beginning to tolerate you!

I am reading A Thousand Splendid Suns based on your recommendation and it SUCKS!!1!

Kidding! I am enjoying it. But now that I'm halfway through it, all these OTHER books I had on hold are coming in.

Lucky for me that I, as a library employee, can change my due dates and just fuck over everyone else on the waiting list!

When people say, "How can you do that. G?" I answer:

"It's what Jes would want me to do!"

Then I extend my due dates by another week and fuck them over all over again!

Thanks, Jes!

Excellent choices and the few I haven't read I shall! And of course "Owen Meany" is the greatest book EVER...the book itself is flawed, much like all of us. Owen Meany, and "that voice" is the least flawed of all...I love Owen!

@G - That is EXACTLY what I would want you to do!! I'd do it myself on purpose just to piss people off if I could!!

@Sarah - Seriously! I walked around for days pretending I was a tanuki, playing the drums on my stomach. Just started After Dark, and I'm loving it!!!

Hey, thanks for stopping by! But, wow.. Pride & Prejudice? Ugh. I read it, but only because I was forced to.

I'll make sure to hunt down a bottle of the triple karmeliet.. I'm always on the lookout for good stuff.
